Below are the handlers & dogs given encouragement awards at our Christmas Break Up.
Rex & Jed are currently in Grade 1. They have recently come up from Puppy B. The instructors who have had Rex in both puppy class and Grade 1 encourage him to keep developing his relationship with Jed and will watch with interest as they progress.

Marina & Lexi are currently in Grade 1. The term “frog in a blender” is an apt description of both dog and handler, and the instructors believe that with encouragement, they will eventually become a great team.

Karen & Diesel are currently in Grade 2. Karen & Diesel were in G1 for quite a while with young Diesel being a handful. Then everything seemed to suddenly “click” and they moved on to G2 and have continued to perform well.

Brent & Charlotte are currently in Grade 2. Another frog in a blender situation, but this time, just the dog. Brent & Charlotte have worked hard through G1 and have moved onto G2 and are continuing to work well there.

Judy & Harley are currently in Grade 3. Harley is a young male dog who is noisy and needs to be kept busy. He gets bored easily thus barks quite a bit. Judy, being a small frame, needs quite a bit of strength to control a young male shepherd., Judy has now learned to harness Harley’s energy and to give a bit more trust to Harley and the instructors enjoy watching them working together as a team, improving bit by bit every week and enjoying training They have quite a bit to go yet, but the progress is obvious since they came to G3.

Suzie & Sixpence are currently in Grade 3. Sixpence is a lovely working dog but can get anxious. Suzie is highly motivated and perseveres with Sixpence’s anxiety but then sometimes Suzie lacks confidence and then the two of them collectively go to pieces. When it all comes together, Suzie & Sixpence are terrific to watch and the instructors would like to encourage them to keep working and gain confidence as they go forward.

Nick & Brock are currently in Grade 3. Brock can be a bossy dog or a pleasure to watch work when he is in the mood, and continues to be a challenge for Nick. The instructors would like to see them continue to keep trying.

Louise & Bear are currently in Grade 3. They moved from Grade 1, then rapidly through Grade 2. Louise & Bear are a pleasure to watch working and the class instructors would like to encourage them to keep going.

Judy & Phoenix are currently in Grade 4. Phoenix has her issues and Judy works hard to overcome those. When together either working or playing, Judy & Phoenix are a pleasure to watch and the instructors would like to encourage them to keep going.
